Welcome to Rotary International District 6890

 

 

West Central Florida is home to more than 2,000 Rotarians in 46 clubs throughout Hillsborough, Highlands, Hardee and Polk Counties.  Rotary unites leaders from around the world for fun, fellowship, business networking, community projects and international goodwill.  The Rotary motto is, “Service Above Self.”


Rotary Clubs in District 6890 perform hundreds of local projects, with thousands of community service hours.  Collectively, our District also supports projects including:  Rotary’s Camp Florida, enabling an accessible camp experience for special needs children; Seminar For Tomorrow’s Leaders (S4TL), offering leadership development for high school seniors; Dictionary Distribution contributing dictionaries to area 5th grade students; Project C.U.R.E., collecting used and discarded medical equipment for distribution in developing nations; and Gift of Life, providing life saving surgery at no charge to children in need from around the globe.


Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world.  In more than 200 countries and geographical regions, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to over 33,000 Rotary clubs.
